So, as i discussed at I37, would anyone be up for a mini lan in ramsgate? A bit of christmas gaming for the clan, COULD EVEN DO A SECRET SANTA! lol.

By that time we should have our home cinema set up in the basement aswell.

http://www.mulberrycottages.com/find-a- ... spx?id=215 is our house.

the only thing is cost. We can have 10-12 people there, but I will be getting a switch that covers 16 and I'm sure he won't kick up a fuss about any more.

A 16 port switch will cost £120 unless someone can get us one cheaper i'm open to suggestions

We have "8mg" broadband down there and wizzo assured me that it would be fine for gaming as long as no-one was downloading anything.

Cleaning the house afterwards (as i'm assuming no-one wants to spend a day cleaning) will be £110 (thats what we get charged its usually included in the rent)

And we will need somewhere to put the computers, i was thinking of hiring 5 tables which i think will be around £20 depending on how long we make it.

So for the weekend/week it will be 250, around £25 a head. I'm very interested but i need to know numbers and sort out a date.

8 9 10 of jan

I'm up for buying trestle tables, as long as I don't have to store them

I would come along as long as it is between uni terms as im now in Dundee so can only do it while at home!

£25 sounds good! Although depending on whther you wanted to do it mopre than once you could just buy some cheap trestle tables. Also sod paying for cleaning how ahard would it be to just run a hover round evrywhere if there was 10 of us we could do it within 30mins!

Agree with all of the above points really. To be fair to Lance, I know that until everyone has moved their PCs out it won't get fully cleaned up and by that time ppl will be driving off without helping (the cheeky sods) so I understand the cleaning bill and think that price is fine as long as we can definitely get the 10 to 12 players to split it between.

Some1 in the clan is bound to have a 16 port switch I reckon (if not we could probably daisy chain a bunch of smaller devices together).

If the likes of drax and freely are going then I'd be up for this. £25 is fine by me, cleaning and tables etc. all sounds fair enough :)

i didn't end up doing it, interest didn't really seem to be there. I'd be up for doing something, any time really, but i'd need to know who would want to come before hand.

So guys the offer still exists i just need a date that i can pass on.
