London-Brighton cycle - success and thankyou

Postby lancew » Thu Mar 08, 2012 11:53 am

Hey Everyone.

This year to support the British Heart Foundation I will be cycling from London to Brighton (about 55 miles).

If you have any spare cash lying around could you sponsor me?

http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/TeamDennis This is our team giving page.

Make sure you put your name and to me so that I can thankyou next time I see you.

Its a great cause, heres a little bit about what they do:

A long way to go
For all our success, there's a lot to be done. Heart disease is still the UK's biggest killer.

Millions of people are living with heart failure. Surgery techniques can still be improved. And there are exciting developments in genetics and stem cell technology yet to be found.

So we're investing in the latest technologies and the best science. And we're helping the most talented researchers put their minds to the problems of heart disease prevention and care, and continue the search for a cure.

They also encourage learning about how to give CPR and other ways to help someone who has had a heart attack.

Thankyou so much guys for my sponsorship. From my facebook:

Thanks to everyone that sponsored me. It took me 7 hours of riding to get there but I managed it (2 hours of maintenance delays so 5 hours cycling). I had a great time and may well be hounding you all for sponsorship next year

I had no idea where all that time went, spent most of the time just trying to catch my group up so I didn't miss Lunch.

Then had a few pints before going swimming in my cycling shorts (not a good idea) and I've gotten home to find out that I underestimated the suns rays again, so I have pretty epic burn (soon to be tan?) lines.

Once again thanks to all you [TO] guys who sponsored me, its really great to have all your support.
